Early Life/Migration

 

Hazoor Pir Syedna Qudwatul Awliya(ra) was born on the 18th of Rabi ul Awwal 1352 A.H/ 1932 A.D in the blessed city of Baghdad Shareef. The house Hazoor Pir Syedna Qudwatul Awliya(ra) was born in is  known as ‘Haram Diwan Khana Qadiria  Babul Shaykh’ by the residents of Baghdad Shareef.Hazoor Pir Syedna Qudwatul Awliya(ra) completed their early religious education at Masjid  of ‘Syed Sultan Ali’. This Masjid is situated at the bank of the river Dajila, Baghdad, near the Ar-Rashid Highway. They also studied in Madrassa Darbar-e-Ghousia teachers under renowned scholars of their time such as Mullah As-Syed Asad Afaandi (ra), Shaykh As-Syed Khalil Ar-Ravee (ra) and Mufti Qasim al-Qaisee (ra). Hazoor Pir Syedna Qudwatul Awliya(ra) received their spiritual training and education from their illustrated father and took Baith on their holy hands. They received Khilafat at a young age.

As a young child, Hazoor Pir Syedna Qudwatul Awliya(ra) had a highly distinguished and elegant personality that would impress and astonish anyone who saw them. They would spend the full night in devotion at the Mazaar Shareef of their Ancestor (Darbar-e-Ghousia).

Hazrat Allama Abdul Qadeer Badayuni who was a renowned literary, spiritual and political figure in the subcontinent has related as an eye witness to the deep devotion, dedicated and mediation displayed by ten years old Hazoor Syedna Tahir Alauddin(ra) in 1943, whom he had seen standing near the Roza Muburak (Shrine) of Hazoor Ghous-e-Azzam(ra) throughout night after night remaining in this posture till dawn. Allama Badyuni(ra) says ‘that we were curious to know about the identity of this boy and when we enquired, were told that this is Syedna Tahir Allauddin – the younger son of Naqib ul Ashraaf Syedna Mahmood Hussamuddin al-Gillani.He further states that during their two week stay, every night he would see Hazoor Pir Syedna Qudwatul Awliya(ra) standing, praying and meditating at the shrine of Hazoor Syedna Ghous e Azzam(ra).

Even till this day, the elderly residents of Baghdad Shareef can remember the extraordinary personality of Hazoor Pir Syedna Qudwatul Awliya(ra)  as a youngster. When Hazoor Pir Syedna Qudwatul Awliya(ra)  used to visit Darbar-e-Ghousia, they would carry a revolver and be holding a letter-whip. Seeing this, the people would run to hide and slacking workmen would rush to get back to work

 

On the behest of Hazoor Syedna Ghous ul Azzam(ra), Hazoor Pir Syedna Qudwatul Awliya(ra) made the ultimate sacrifice of leaving their native birthplace Baghdad Shareef and migrating to Pakistan. Not only did they have to part from their ancestry home but the Mazaar Shareef of their beloved Ancestor (Hazoor Syedna Ghous e Azzam) which was the spiritual centre of the entire world.  Hazoor Pir Syedna Qudwatul Awliya(ra)  arrived in Pakistan in 1956 and first went to  and completed a 40-Day Seclusion (Chillah) at the Mazar Sharif of the Great Saint, Hazoor Syedna Data Ganj Baksh Ali Hujveri(ra) in Lahore. After they completed their 40 Day seclusion, they went to Quetta Shareef and settled there, making Quetta Shareef the centre for propagation of Silsilah e Qadiriah.
